Patagonian huemul
An endangered deer of the southern Andes whose recovery has yet to be secured. Although little is known about its biology and ecology, we are aware that it has several behavioral characteristic that are quite unusual compared to other cervids. The few remaining populations, located in remote areas, present a challenge to study.
